Istanbul - Beyazit Tower

Beyazit Tower, Within the area of the axial architecture of Istanbul’s University (formerly the alcazar of Mehmet the Conqueror) this board belfry was congenital for blaze watchers, and charcoal a battleground throughout the city. Mahmud II burst it in adjustment to assemble a bigger one, and according to the inscription, he ordered a rock-filled belfry in 1828 to be congenital by the Ministry of Defense. The cairn is 50m high, and from the high landing, attainable via board staircase, offers a superb overview of the city.
